WHY DO I WANT A SHALLOW DEPTH OF FIELD?

Because a shallow dof isolates the subject from its surroundings, it is really useful in portrait photography.

And because a lot of the photos we take are of people, it helps to know how to separate them from the background in this way.

But what about long dof?

Pretty much everything in the photo is in focus. This is useful too, for those times when you really do want everything in focus.

Landscape photographers often want to use this effect because they want to get the whole scene in focus – from the flower in the foreground to the mountains in the background.

Some landscape photographers go even further and use a technique called hyper focussing. This is a method of getting even more of your photo in focus.

SIMPLE COMPOSITION

The saying “less is more” is often true in image composition. The photo is often more beautiful and effective if unnecessary elements are left out of the frame. A common mistake is to try to include all possible things in one photo. It is often wise to include only one clear center of interest into the photo. When you are taking a photo, you should check if there are any distracting elements on the edges of the frame. In fact one reason why they work is their simplicity.

It also applied “depth of field,” a characteristic of a camera that can be used to enhance the image composition of the photo. Depth of field means the sharp area surrounding the point of focus. The magnitude of the sharp area is affected by several factors: distance between the camera and the subject, focal length and aperture.

WHY NOT?

A black and white photo as a gift is a marvelous and original way to express the feelings, to share your mood, to say untold things. Besides, art pieces have always been an accessory of the few. Therefore a similar gift becomes also the sign of respect to the personality, to the tendencies and the dreams of your significant person. I have much fascination in this kind of craft since it gives the sense of what really beauty is. Despite the fact that it has no color, its value and essence is overflowing.

DEEPLY

Beauty comes in different forms. And beauty of simplicity prevailed photo. Yes, it may sound so shallow but yet very striking. It reminded me of appreciating simple things as possible.

The Role of the Student Government in Meeting the Challenges of Education for All

Article 2, Section 17 of the Philippine Constitution provides that “it is the duty of the state to give quality and accessible education for all’. Therefore, based on this constitutional provision, quality education is a right. This however is already a cliché for nowadays, only those who have the means can afford a decent and quality education. For most of us, the aspiration of getting quality education has become a luxury, a status symbol in the society. For those who cannot even afford a decent living, education has become a dream. Therefore, we are being misled since then for education is no longer a right but rather a privilege; a hard-earned privilege.


We are of the belief that only education can save us from the very poor condition that we are in now. We are often made to believe that the key towards achieving greener pastures is arming ourselves with a competitive and quality education where we can brace the challenges of the modern world and conquer its eccentricities.

That, in all aspect is true. Many would desire to go to school yet, poor economic conditions hinder us. Recent survey shows that of the total elementary graduates, only 50% of them goes to high school. Of that 50%, only half proceeds to college to earn a degree. In the private schools, tuition fees are increasing almost every year, thus many students are transferring to public schools. In any situation, public schools are overcrowded with students, school supplies are not enough to serve these students; teachers are overburdened but underpaid. What is the anticipated result then? Quality education is sacrificed.

The government has starting to give its responsibility up to the private educational institutions. The most overwhelming insult to education is the less prioritization it has given to it; spending more than half of the fiscal budget to militarization spending and debt servicing. The education sector is forced to survive on the meager budget that the government allots thus, through the years, the quality of education in the Philippines is largely lagging behind its Asian counterparts and its accessibility is only available to those who can afford.


The Philippine educational system is in a crisis. The decline in its quality and the challenges of its accessibility is a concern everybody must address. We are lucky because we have been given the privilege to study, to learn. We are given the opportunity to make the first step towards achieving our dreams and aspirations. But we are only the privileged but few.

As members of the student government, the duty of representing the concerns of the students lies in us. They depend on us to be their allies and protectors of their interests. But what can our little voices do amidst these crucial problems? Many. We are little voices but we have gigantic minds and precious ideas. We are delicate but we can do a lot.

It is our foremost duty to represent the concerns of the students. We exist in behalf of them. Their concerns are also our concerns. Their dreams are also our dreams. Their aspirations are also our aspirations. Thus their failure in achieving their goals is also our failure. It is our duty to let their voices heard in very level of the government. We are the vanguards and protectors of their interests.

We do not have economic means to help send students to school but we could lobby in our local governments for scholarships that would help send to school the poor but deserving students. Since our access to modern educational materials is limited, we can ask those who have the hearts to help such non-government institutions for financial aids so that we can purchase modern and technologically updated materials and equipments.

Since we are more focused in our own schools, we could initiate core discussion groups and small study clubs to help those who don’t have the luxury of time to study at home or those who have the interest for additional learning. This would address in our little way the crisis that we have in the quality of our education.

Despite our age, we can do big things. If we are only aware the important responsibility that is upon is. Responsibility does not come with age but with the acceptance of responsibility.

We are young, but we are free to do what we can to help ourselves. If we only believe that such dream is not so faraway.

That's being real, just live a life fearless of other people's shadow.

How? Most probably, through joint planning.

Community organizing and participation will took place
in this major activity of a particular area.
This involves more of the people's participation,
which leads to more understanding of their residence.

Through this, a lot of developmental change will be implemented.
It also gives a deep understanding of their community.

The fact that this activity opens a great opportunity of
familiarizing what their community is, they will be able to
identify what is lacking, what should be provided, and
what should be improved and developed.

However, if the people particularly will not participate
rest assured that the joint planning will be useless.

Based on my experience in the past two exercise it
serves as a picture view of what a community looks like.

A visual aid , that will shows entirety of a particular place.

A guide, that plays an important role in discovering other places
aside from those usually visited.

And personally, whenever I go to other places,
my map will be my tour guide.

I probably shouldn't say this but at times I get so scared. When I think about the previous relationship we shared it was awesome but we lost it. It's not possible for me, not to care and now we're standing in the rain.

But nothing's ever gonna change until you hear, my dear the 7 things I hate about you.

You're vain, your games, you're insecure you love me, you like her you make me laugh, you make me cry I don't know which side to buy. Your friends, they're jerks when you act like them, just know it hurts I wanna be with the one I know And the 7th things I hate the most that you do, you make me love you.

It's awkward and it's silent as I wait for you to say. What I need to hear now your sincere apology. When you mean it, I'll believe it. If you text it, I'll delete it. Let's be clear!

It is not certain whether the one you have now is the one you'll be with for the rest of your life. There's even no guarantee if the one you just met is the one who will love you forever. Because there is no such thing as the ideal man or woman, there is no such thing as the right person or the right one, its us who can make love to last a lifetime. So if ever somebody asked you, is he/she the right one? You can answer; " I am not sure, but I intend to make him/her my only one.

Our government keeps itself armored from the realities persisted in the society.

The pictures itself of the behind the scenes on Mindanao war created overviews that our government is not performing to its most conscientious mode. It proved massive inflation of quality of leadership our president have. She existed to be unconscious. It BARELY risk lives of thousands of people. Indeed, many were caught off guard and killed.

Achieve Universal Primary Education

Every child has the right to education. A good education enables children to learn and to grow, developing their gifts and potential. Going to school helps a child learn many things and how to relate to other children.
It provides children with the tools for learning, such as reading, writing and manipulating numbers. School introduces children to richness of the wider world and gives them the chance, later on, to obtain work and make a contribution to society.

Primary schooling also gives access to further learning opportunities and, at its best, brings out the particular gifts and strengths which can build on throughout life.

Real development is achieved when girls and boys go to school and finish primary education. No provider of public education may discriminate the grounds of gender, ethnicity, language, religion, opinion, disability, or social and economic status. Accessible for all, as well as to ensure full retention and completion, forming the grounds for a further promotions of children cognitive, creative and emotional development.

A gradual advance or growth through progressive changes.
Life is a changing process.
From the moment of conception to the moment of death,
everything undergo many complex processes of development.
Through life, people have the potential to grow, to change,
to develop and even the environment that we are living in.

Development is a progressive series of changes that occur
as a result of maturation and experience.
This means that development does not consist merely
of adding inches to one's height or of improving one's ability.
Instead, it is a complex process of integrating many
structures and functions.
